Senses Fail

Melodic Hardcore band Senses Fail hit the ground running with their debut EP "From the Depths of Dreams" and kept the vibes going right into their first album "Let It Enfold You" and they still haven't stopped.
Singer
Buddy Nielsen delivers every cruel, but unusually clever, lyric with a lot of passion in every line he sings, and the rest of the band keeps the sweet cutthroat aura alive and well through every song. They include plethora of amazing guitar solos in each album. With lyrics ranging from suicide to revenge to religion, illustrated with unique references and metaphors, each album is a cruel glimpse into the songwriter's mind. Their musical style varies from the brutal "Choke on this" to the disturbingly relaxing "The Priest and the Matador" to the energetic, and with a noteworthy guitar solo, "Sick or Sane."

Analog Rebellion (formerly PlayRadioPlay!)

Self described as "Stadium Lo-Fi," by Singer and Composer Danial Hunter, Analog Rebellion is a solo project that started in Hunter's garage. They achieved initial fame through Myspace. Analog Rebellion is one of the best examples of music programing to date. Hunter uses his personal life to a great extent in the lyrics of song after song of soothing beats and electronic perfection. His almost teary voice resonates through every song, and it's easy to tell that every song is rather personal to him.
I really recommended that you listen to Analog Rebellion alone with headphones one night, and prepare for a charming and unique experience filled with both energy and sorrow.

Alesana

Few bands have emerged from the scremo genre that are worthwhile, and one of those bands is North Carolina's Alesana. With captivating guitar work, a 'screamer' that stays in tune, great piano (Possibly keyboard) work in many of their songs, and amazing melodies between screaming sessions, they're definably worth a listen. Each song is unique, and the lyrics are surprisingly well thought out, many dealing with love, hate, and ancient mythology. Again, I must put emphasis on their amazing use of touching melodies, particularly in "The Third Temptation of Paris" which contains no screaming, and is certainly a rather touching view on an old story.

Alesana is one of the perfect bands to listen to with headphones through out your day, particularly for those who just want to tune their lives out and lose themselves beautiful music, and wave after wave of rhythm, and sometimes harsh vocals.

The Limousines (aka The Airport Taxis)

Made known by "Internet Killed the Video Star" and the easy to relate to "Very Busy People," this Indietronica band is best for smooth vocals with an electronic twist. Their first, and to my knowledge only, full album "Get Sharp" starts out with the powerful "Dancing at her Funeral" with an 'Oh, no' to bite at your soul. They then proceed to push your emotions around for the rest of the album. The catchy lyrics and dance-able beats will keep you coming back for more.

The vocalist, Eric Victorino, has a voice seemingly designed for electronic music, and coordinates perfectly with instrumentalist & producer Giovanni Giusti. Each song is almost guaranteed to get stuck in your head one by one and leave you inadvertently singing them out loud. They have an amazing future ahead of them, and I can only hope their next album will be as good as their previous one.

Kill Hannah

Kill Hannah, named after the singer's lost lover, hails from Chicago and produces some of the best electro-rock ever to find it's way to my music collection. With a plethora of pleasant lyrics seemingly aimed at the desperate, heartbroken, and ambitious, and singer Matt Devine's often effeminate vocals they seem to craft elaborate sagas of both failure and hope with every album.

With catchy and memorable riffs and beautifully woven electronic beats they make sure they'll leave a lasting impression on every listener. They've surely achieved their goal of creating "An edgierAmerican version of The Cure."
